9/11/2001

Howdy there, folks. No shitposting from me this week. Instead, I’ve taken a serious tone. One of remembrance. It’s hard for me to believe that twenty years have come and gone. It seems like both yesterday and a lifetime ago. Simultaneously. Truly an interesting dynamic. For those who don’t know, I graduated high school in May of 2001. By the fall, we were jumping into a brand new type of war. I literally came of age as the world changed forever. With that perspective, and with the friends I’ve lost amongst the ensuing GWOT, I’d like to ask that y’all take a moment today and remember the victims of 9/11, as well as those lost in the ensuing fight. And if you know a 9/11 survivor or a veteran of our era, check in. Say hi. No need to intrude; just make sure they’re good.

Never forget. Take care, and be good to each other,

Doug

P.S. - No politics for me today. There are plenty of other times.
